SECURITY DEPOSIT / DAMAGE WAIVER

It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate insurance cover whilst the trailer is in their possession. Certain insurance companies will cover the towing of a trailer up to third party level, however the hirer’s individual insurance policies should be checked for adequate cover against damage and or theft of the trailer.

All trailers hired from Atlas Trailers Ltd. are equipped with lockable hitch locks to protect against either removal from the tow vehicle and/or unauthorised hitching up of the trailer when it has been left unattended. Additionally we will supply a wheel clamp where requested.

In the cases where damage cover is not a provision of the hirer’s insurance, the Security Deposit Options available from Atlas Trailers Ltd. are either – £7.50 damage waiver or a £200 refundable deposit.

It is not possible for Atlas Trailers Ltd to insure against damage or loss once a hired trailer leaves our premises. We will however offer to underwrite the first £250 of damage to cover parts and labour for a one off damage waiver fee of£7.50 regardless of the period of hire.

Alternatively upon hire, a security deposit of £200 refundable on return of the trailer and any additional equipment, will be required.
